My principal place of residence is in the Whanganui District area.
I was born and raised in Whanganui.
My wife, Jan and I have run our family-owned business, Marine Services Wanganui since 1991 and currently employ 18 staff including 4 apprentices.
I served my apprenticeship at Railways and served 16 years in the NZ Army Territorials finished as an Army Medical Sergeant. I am heavily involved in Surf Life Saving, currently hold the position as Chairman of the Wanganui Surf Lifeguard Service (WSLS) and sit on a local Chairs Board for Taranaki/Whanganui Surf Life Saving. Over the years I have received my Regional and Distinguished Service and Life Membership and National Service award to Surf Life Saving New Zealand. Recently Jan and I received an Area Commander’s Commendation from the NZ Police for our support and leadership.
I am running for councillor for the Whanganui District Council to use my business and community skills to help improve and boost Whanganui.
