My principal place of residence is in the Whanganui District area.
Currently, I am the acting National Secretary for Grey Power New Zealand, working as a volunteer with a large board and 52,000 members. We attend Parliament, advocating with minsters of the crown on matters for seniors’ wellbeing. I have served Whanganui as a teacher, hospitality trainer, with broad local community service; leading boards like Mainstreet, Artists Open Studios, Grey Power Wanganui, or serving on boards like Progress Castlecliff. I am an active community advocate, making in-person submissions to council. I have campaigned for the Aramoho rail footbridge replacement, a compliant dog pound, contributed to housing crisis meetings, climate change forums, and inter-generational regional sporting facilities. Whanganui’s future is about securing income, easing burdens on ratepayers, creating amenities that serve all, especially families and our youth. A major focus on social housing and local roads is essential. I bring robustness and energy. Please consider a space at the table, for Ross.
