My principal place of residence is in the Whanganui District area.
The river flows,
From the mountains to the sea,
I am the river and the river is me.
34, independent mama of five, breast cancer.
Currently third year student of Bachelor of Bicultural Social Work.
2024, to begin Masters of Applied Indigenous Knowledge.
2026, to begin Doctor of Philosophy in Māori Studies.
Issues: Homeless and Housing – community-led to develop creative solutions; Te Awa Tupua – Tupua te Kawa to guide all council processes; Localised community-led decision making –freedom of choice on local issues such as three waters.
I lead by example, am reliable, transparent, and accountable to whānau, hapū, iwi, and hāpori.
I make informed decisions that are community-led, evidence-based, strength-based, and solution-focused.
My purpose is to serve our people, our community of Whanganui.
I aim to unite Whanganui through community projects under a collective vision of whānau rising together for all our tamariki and mokopuna.
